Job summary

The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking an intermittent Registered Nurse for the Primary Care Department. You will deliver direct Veteran care, support care coordination, and participate in the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to improve access and outcomes.

Responsibilities include managing patient panels, promoting wellness, and contributing to policy development. This role requires a full and unrestricted RN license and a strong commitment to Veteran-centered care

Qualifications

Must be able to read and write proficiently in English.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; eligible for state RN license.
Licensure in good standing required; temporary appointment may convert to permanent.
Foreign graduates must have license equivalency validation to practice in VA.

Responsibilities

Provide direct Veteran care and care coordination within the Primary Care Department.
Manage assigned patient panels and utilize registries to ensure access.
Promote health, wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management.
Collaborate to develop, implement, and revise policies and procedures.
Provide leadership support and constructive feedback to peers.
