Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Primary Care office in Watervliet, NY. The role involves using the nursing process to diagnose and address patient needs, with duties including vitals, EMR documentation, medication reviews, referrals, and patient education.

Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts. Qualifications include NYS RN license, BLS, and at least 6 months RN experience; triage experience is required, OB/GYN experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Triage experience preferred; OB/GYN experience a plus.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 6 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals in the exam room and document in EMR.
• Review and update medication list in EMR.
• Complete referrals and track patient compliance.
• Review prescriptions electronically and submit to providers.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed.
• Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics.
• Retrieve telephonic clinical information from patients.
• Monitor task lists and complete tasks timely.
• Educate patients on medications and home care.
• Label, handle, and document patient specimens.
• Follow up on test results and maintain clean spaces.
• Maintain medical and drug supply cabinets.
• Communicate effectively via EMR.
• Participate in daily Patient Care huddles.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
