Job summary

Birmingham VA Health Care System seeks a Physician for a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Primary Care role. You will assess patients' physical and psychosocial health, promote preventive care, and manage acute and chronic conditions within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include comprehensive health assessments, patient education, and coordinating care across services. Schedule supports balanced tours; after-hours call is not required for this position.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Residency training in an approved core specialty.
• Board eligibility or certification per VA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide Primary Care as a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) physician.
• Assess physical and psychosocial status; promote preventive care; manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, health history, examinations, and patient education; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
