Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join the Northern California VA Health Care System. You will provide comprehensive outpatient care to enrolled veterans in a team-based clinic environment.

The position requires an MD, an unrestricted US license, and board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine. EDRP eligibility and a competitive compensation package are available.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for a panel of outpatients as assigned by NCHCS.
• Evaluate and treat acute and chronic health problems in the clinic setting.
• Perform histories and physical exams and document findings and plans.
• Prescribe medications and orders for routine labs, imaging, and consultations.
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate care across services.
