Job summary

SMG System Medical Group in Wheeling, West Virginia, seeks a Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive care at the Wheeling Continuous Care Center and nearby nursing homes. The physician will manage a panel of nursing home patients, address routine and acute medical needs, and coordinate with facility staff to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

This is a 40-hour exempt role in a hospital-affiliated practice with opportunities for professional growth and a supportive multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for state medical license.
• Fellowship in Geriatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Board certified or eligible in Geriatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

WVUHS Medical Group seeks a Primary Care Physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in the primary location of WVU Medicine Wheeling Continuous Care Center and nearby nursing homes

Duties:

The physician will be responsible for managing a panel of nursing home patients, addressing both routine and acute medical needs while ensuring high-quality, coordinated care in collaboration with facility staff.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain state medical license. Applicants must have completed a Geriatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine fellowship. Applicants must be board certified or eligible in Geriatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
