Job summary

UPMC Primary Care seeks an Internal Medicine Physician to join Hickory Internal Medicine, an outpatient-only practice in Hermitage, PA. Clinical time focuses on patient-facing care with a supportive team, referrals, and a light administrative load.

The role offers a Monday–Friday day-shift schedule in a non-profit health system. Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO with internal medicine residency, PA license, DEA, and board eligibility or certification.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited program.
• Completed Internal Medicine residency with board eligibility or certification.
• Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain).
• DEA Certification and credentialing requirements confirmed.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient internal medicine care for adult patients.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ancillary services as needed.
• Manage a patient panel with emphasis on quality and preventive care.
• Participate in team-based care and administrative duties as required.

UPMC Primary Care is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join Hickory Internal Medicine.

• About the practice: A single-site outpatient only practice located in the UPMC Hermitage Outpatient Center with several other primary care practices.
• Clinical time: 36 hours of patient facing time Mon-Fri with 4 hours of administrative time per week. Light call schedule taken from home. No inpatient call.
• Resources: Easy referrals to social work, behavioral health, nutritionists and UPMC’s network of specialists.
• Support: A team of administrative professionals handles practice operations.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD/DO)
• Accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program Completion
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine (or board-eligible for residency new graduates)
• Unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License (or ability to obtain)
• DEA Certification
