Job summary

OptumCare Colorado in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team. The role is based in Lakewood with potential clinic coverage in Golden 1-2 days weekly; you will provide full-scope primary care with a collaborative team.

Highlights include Dragon and AI charting, EPIC EMR, on-site Practice Manager, dedicated MA, a potential 4-day work week, and a strong benefits package with base salary guaranteed for two years.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted CO state license or the ability to obtain prior to start date
• Current DEA certificate required prior to start date
• BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS certification prior to start date

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope primary care services.
• Examine, diagnose and treat patients for acute and chronic conditions or concerns, injuries, infections, and illnesses.
• Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns.
• Complete timely and thorough documentation using our EMR system.
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures.
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and follow up.
• Coordinate care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services.
• Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice.
• Supervise Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioners as needed.
