Job summary

The Marion VA Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a Physician to join its Primary Care team. The role offers a comprehensive federal benefits package, flexible schedule, and opportunities for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) participation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing a patient panel, providing patient-centered primary care, using the EMR, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree from a recognized school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training completed in an accredited program leading to board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred: one year of primary care experience and women’s health experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage a panel of patients.
• Provide comprehensive patient-centered primary medical care.
• Use the Electronic Medical Record system to review and update patient records.
• Supervise mid-level providers and participate in multidisciplinary activities.
• Maintain timely documentation and adherence to clinical guidelines.
