The Marion VA Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a Psychiatrist to join its Behavioral Health team. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

Duties include providing general psychiatric services to Veterans, conducting diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management, with possible supervision of staff. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with potential on-call coverage as

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an approved medical school.
• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training in an accredited core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification preferred or on-track for certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide general clinical psychiatric services to Veterans, including crisis and walk-in coverage.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consults, treatment planning, and medication management.
• May supervise multidisciplinary staff as appropriate.
• Complete notes and encounters within 24 hours and fulfill required trainings.
• Potential to cover other Behavioral Health medical staff as needed.
