Job summary

Proactive MD in Artesia, NM seeks a Physician – Primary Care to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a Direct Primary Care model. Enjoy longer visits, reduced administrative burden, and a collaborative clinical team, with a weekday schedule and no weekends.

The role emphasizes preventive care, relationship-building with a dedicated patient population, and leadership within the clinic. Licensed in NM required with at least 1 year post-residency experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Current, unrestricted New Mexico medical license
• 1+ year of post-residency clinical experience
• BLS or ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, including episodic and preventive care.
• Build meaningful, long-term relationships with a dedicated patient population.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, health-risk assessments, and medical history reviews.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients.
• Provide education and preventive health guidance.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare resources when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Patient Advocates, and leadership to deliver exceptional care.
• Participate in establishing clinic health and wellness goals.
• Serve as a clinical leader and role model for the care team.

• Monday & Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: OFF
• No weekends

What We’re Looking For

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Current, unrestricted New Mexico medical license
• 1+ year of post‑residency clinical experience
• BLS or ACLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop strong relationships with patients and colleagues
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
