Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for PRN coverage at our Santa Fe, NM clinic. The NP will provide primary care services, coordinate care, and support patient health initiatives in a workplace health setting.

The role requires an MSN, NP licensure in New Mexico, and at least one year in family practice. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred, with strong HIPAA and OSHAA compliance and EMR experience with Athena.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Family Practice/Primary Care.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the posting state.
• Family Nurse Practitioner certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical quality standards.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (Athena) is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree (MSN)
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a Family Practice/Primary Care environment
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in state of posting
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (preferred)
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
• Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical providers
• Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Thorough knowledge and adherence to HIPAA, OSHAA, and clinical quality standards
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
• Training skills a plus
• Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records (we use Athena)
• Must be willing to develop a thorough understanding of the Mission, Vision, Values, and Patient Promise of Proactive MD and be a champion of them in each patient encounter.
