Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician for the Greater Sacramento area, CA. Join a mission-driven community health center providing comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient care to diverse populations.

Monday–Friday 8–5 or a 4-day 10-hour shift; multiple locations available. Requirements include MD/DO, CA license, board eligibility or certification in Family or Internal Medicine, and at least 2 years post-residency experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Must have 2+ years of post residency experience; no new grads.
• Active, unrestricted California medical license
• Community health center or FQHC experience preferred
• Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care within scope of practice
• Perform history and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and create treatment plans
• Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate therapies
• Coordinate referrals and specialty consultations when indicated
• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate patient education
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure integrated care delivery
• Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality care
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Review and sign clinical reports (labs, consults, imaging) promptly
• Submit billing and coding documentation in a timely manner
• Participate in continuing education and maintain all required licensure and certifications

Job Type: Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4 day (10 hour shift available).
