Job summary

Qualifications

Position Summary

A community healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care at its clinic in Chowchilla, California.

The physician will evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions, provide preventive care, develop treatment plans, order and review diagnostic studies, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team. The position also includes clinical consultation and oversight for advanced practice providers, participation in quality-improvement activities, and rotational on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary, acute, chronic, and preventive care
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients according to established clinical standards
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Coordinate referrals, supportive services, and follow-up care

• Participate in rotational on-call and phone-triage responsibilities
• Participate in peer review, continuous quality improvement, and clinical staff meetings
• Support daily care-team huddles and pre-visit planning
• Collaborate effectively with clinicians, support staff, patients, and community partners

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
• Completed residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Valid and unrestricted California physician license
• Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with patients and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• English and Spanish bilingual skills
• Experience in a community health center, federally qualified health center, or similar outpatient setting
• Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers

Compensation

The annual compensation range for this position is $280,000 to $300,000. Final compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and organizational policies.
