Job summary

InGenesis is seeking a physician to perform a full range of physician services in accordance with facility privileges and standards. You will provide direct patient care across the life span and serve as the on-site medical authority within the facility.

The role includes clinical supervision of mid-level providers, nursing staff, and pharmacy, with responsibility for coordinating all aspects of healthcare delivery at the assigned site.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a school in the United States, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States as established by the NCMEA and permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Education.
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state in which the duty station is located.
• Minimum of one year experience as a licensed physician.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Verbal proficiency in Spanish (preferred, not required).

• The National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) and permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical.
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state in which the duty station is located.
• Minimum of one year experience as a licensed physician.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Verbal proficiency in Spanish (preferred, not required).

Physical Demands

• The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking or jogging unaided over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.
• The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as agility and dexterity, visual, and hearing capabilities.
• Must be able to respond to any medical emergency in the facility, via foot, within four minutes and perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
• Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency.
