Job summary

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Primary Care Physician to join the Hyannis Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Hyannis, MA. You will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for eligible Veterans within the PACT model, working with a collaborative interdisciplinary team to promote preventive care and manage chronic diseases.

Qualifications

  • Active unrestricted Physician license.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Must successfully complete AMI credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care including preventive, acute and chronic disease management.
  • Perform patient assessments, medical histories, physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Order, interpret and communicate laboratory, imaging and diagnostic test results.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness in accordance with VA guidelines.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Promote preventive health through screenings, immunizations, wellness counseling and patient education.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the VA electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with VA policies, patient safety standards and privacy regulations.
  • Foster effective communication with Veterans, families and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Complete required VA credentialing, privileging, mandatory training and continuing medical education requirements.

What Youll Do
