ConnectedHealth in Arcata, California is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive primary care across all ages in a family practice setting. You will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based treatment and preventive care in a scenic coastal community.

The ideal candidate holds a CA PA license, NCCPA certification, DEA with prescriptive authority, and current BLS/ACLS certifications, plus at least two years of primary care experience.

Qualifications

• Active California PA license
• Graduate of an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification
• DEA registration with CA prescriptive authority
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum two years of PA experience in primary care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
• Perform physical examinations and comprehensive patient assessments
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Prescribe medications in accordance with California laws and organizational protocols
• Provide preventive healthcare, wellness counseling, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record
• Maintain compliance with all organizational policies and state and federal regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs
• Promote a positive, patient-focused healthcare experience
