Job summary

ConnectedHealth is recruiting for a full-time Physician Assistant in a family practice setting near Eureka, California. The PA will provide comprehensive primary care across all ages and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include exams, treatment planning, diagnostic testing, prescribing under CA law, and thorough EMR documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance and participating in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California PA license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current DEA registration for California with prescriptive authority.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years of Physician Assistant experience.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
• Perform physical examinations and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with California laws and organizational protocols.
• Provide preventive healthcare, wellness counseling, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with all organizational policies and state and federal regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs.
• Promote a positive, patient-focused healthcare experience.
