Job summary

Veterans Health Administration (VA) in Bend, Oregon seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support the Nurse Manager in 24/7 operations. The ANM oversees orientation, training, and staff development, and ensures accountability for patient care and performance evaluation.

This role provides coverage for other ANMs as needed. The ANM will lead clinical teams, drive evidence-based practices, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to improve outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• English proficiency for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with licensure.
• State license to practice nursing in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Act as clinical expert in the nursing process and supervise direct patient care.
• Coordinate orientation, training, development, and evaluation of nursing staff.
• Provide leadership to the team and ensure accountability for care outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to remove barriers and implement evidence-based practices.
• Promote culturally competent care and staff development.
• Align nursing objectives with organizational goals and participate in strategy planning.
