Job summary

East Hawaii Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) in a .75 FTE position on the Big Island of Hawaii. Learn and live in paradise while providing comprehensive primary care, with three 10-hour shifts weekly.

You will prescribe meds, perform minor procedures, educate patients, and build personalized treatment plans in collaboration with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• APRN or PA with relevant experience required.
• Experience following evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
• Competence in minor procedures and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe medications and treatment modalities per guidelines.
• Perform minor procedures such as wound care and suturing.
• Educate patients and families on prevention and disease management.

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.

This position is a .75 FTE position (three 10-hour shifts per week).

Key Responsibilities

• Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities as appropriate, following evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
• Perform minor procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and joint injections, as needed.
• Educate patients and families on preventive healthcare measures, disease management strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
