East Hawaii Medical Group on the Big Island seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our team for a .75 FTE position with three 10-hour shifts weekly. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a supportive, island-based practice.

Qualifications

• APRN or PA with clinical experience in primary care or hospital settings.
• Current Hawaii license to practice as APRN or PA.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe medications and treatment modalities per guidelines.
• Perform minor procedures such as wound care, suturing, and joint injections.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care and disease management.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history, exams, and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history and preferences.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Document encounters and follow-up in the EHR.

Key Responsibilities

• Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities as appropriate, following evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
• Perform minor procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and joint injections, as needed.
• Educate patients and families on preventive healthcare measures, disease management strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
