Job summary
Premise Health in Austin, MN is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner to provide accessible, comprehensive primary care to Hormel Foods employees and dependents at our on-site Health Center. You will conduct exams, order tests, develop care plans, educate patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
A current NP license, national certification, and 3+ years' ambulatory care experience are required; competitive benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- Active state RN license and NP license to practice.
- Current national certification (ANCC or AANP) required.
- Master’s degree in nursing; transcripts if degree does not state nursing.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers; ACLS may be required.
Responsibilities
- Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
- Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Develops patient care plans and ensures continuity of care.
- Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests; collaborates with physicians.
- Prescribes medications and refers to specialists as needed.
- Maintains accurate patient health records and coaches nursing staff.
