Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner for our Health Center in Pella, IA. You will provide primary care to client employees and dependents, with a schedule that includes Wednesdays and additional hours across nearby sites.

Responsibilities include exams, procedures, care planning, and collaborative care with physicians. State licenses, national certification, and prescriptive authority are required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.

Qualifications

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority where applicable.
• Federal DEA license.
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license as required by state.
• ANCC or AANP certification required.
• Master’s in Nursing or higher with nursing focus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive care per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care and infection management.
• Develops care plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments.
• Refers patients to specialists as needed.
• Maintains accurate patient health records and documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing
