Job summary

DiscoverU Health in the DMV area is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGPCNP) to join our concierge-style practice. This per diem role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment for adults 18+, with in-person, virtual, or in-home visits depending on membership plans.

You will collaborate with a small care team, manage individualized care plans, and educate members on health strategies.

Qualifications

• Active license in DC, MD, or VA as FNP or AGPCNP.
• Current credentialing with major insurance providers preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct adult primary care experience preferred.
• Professional liability insurance required or willingness to obtain it.
• Excellent bedside manner with a compassionate approach.
• Ability to work independently and with a small, agile team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering timely, compassionate care.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients aged 18 and up, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to preventive-first care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Active license in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia as one of the following:
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
• Current credentialing with major insurance providers strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct adult primary care experience preferred.
• Must have professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain it.
• Excellent bedside manner with a genuine desire to serve, heal, and personalize care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small, agile team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
