Job summary

Centra Medical Group Amherst in Virginia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient primary care within a family medicine setting. You will manage a mixed patient panel with support from a major health system and EMR access, working Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with no weekends or on-call shifts.

The ideal candidate has an MSN, Virginia NP licensure with prescriptive authority, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with MSN degree.
• Virginia NP licensure with prescriptive authority required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• RN license in Virginia or multi-state RN licensure.
• National certification in specialty field.

Responsibilities

• Out-patient position serving a family-oriented patient panel.
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, no weekends or major holidays.
• Robust orientation program.
• Manage approximately 18–20 patients per day.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, and Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN).

• Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• Maintains BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
• Nationally recognized certification in field of specialization.
