Harbor Health in El Paso, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Mission Valley primary care team. In this clinic, you will lead patient care, perform exams, order labs and tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment with the care team to deliver high-quality, safe care.

You will collaborate with specialists, manage long-term conditions, and participate in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and NCCPA certified
• Current Texas licensure as NP or PA
• Family Medicine certification
• DEA certification & CPR certification
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Credentialing and privileging requirements
• Comfortable working as a solo provider in a clinic team setting
• Proficient with electronic health records
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Strong teamwork, able to work independently
• Good judgment and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Interview members to obtain medical history, perform exams, order tests, prescribe medications, and recommend treatments
• Provide continuity in managed care for members with long-term conditions
• Make referrals for secondary and tertiary care with the care team
• Perform medical procedures per issued privileges
• Provide health maintenance visits and immunization guidance
• Conduct employment-related physical examinations and other purposes
• Conduct STD screening, family planning, and health education
• Document and code all member contacts in the EMR
• Be an active member of the medical team
• Participate in care team meetings
• Contribute to organizational initiatives including education and quality review
