Job summary
Harbor Health in Plano, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Preston Park multi-specialty team. You’ll lead clinical care in a primary care setting, providing effective, safe decisions and collaboration with the practice team to deliver member-centered services.
Ideal candidates are licensed in Texas, NCCPA-certified or NP certified, with DEA/CPR credentials and a commitment to confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and NCCPA certified or NP certified.
- Current Texas license to practice as PA or NP in Family Medicine.
- DEA and CPR certification; clean credentialing record.
- Ability to work in a clinic team and meet credentialing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Interview members, perform exams, order tests, prescribe meds and recommend treatments.
- Provide continuity of care for patients with chronic conditions.
- Make referrals for secondary/tertiary care with the care team.
- Perform procedures within issued privileges and document in EHR.
- Conduct health maintenance visits and immunization reviews.
- Complete employment physicals and other targeted examinations.
- Support health education, STD screening, and family planning.
- Act as a productive member of the medical team and attend care meetings.
- Contribute to clinical committee work and quality initiatives.
