Job summary

WakeMed is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver competent medical care under supervision within WakeMed Physician Practices. The role spans inpatient and outpatient settings, with duties including rounds, notes, discharge summaries, referrals, procedures, clinic notes, and post-procedure care.

Education must include an appropriate PA/NP degree with licensure and DEA. BLS is required within 6 months of hire, and about 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
• DEA registration required.
• BLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care under supervision.
• Complete referrals, consults, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, and procedures.
• Prescribe medications and conduct pre/post procedure care.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM students and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
