Job summary

WakeMed Physician Practices is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver competent medical care under supervision. The role may include inpatient and outpatient duties, referrals, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, and post-procedure care.

The PA/NP will also serve as an educator for students and work within NC regulations and WakeMed policies. Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is required, with DEA registration and

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure.
• DEA registration required.
• BLS within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in PA or Nursing as specified.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and/or outpatient care under supervision.
• Perform referrals, consults, daily patient rounds, daily notes, discharge summaries, and procedures as required.
• Clinic notes, pre- and post-procedure care and prescribing.
• Coordinate patient care and follow-ups with the healthcare team.
