Job summary

Midland Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to manage patient health problems in a primary care setting. You will collaborate with the supervising physician, coordinate patient care, and document follow-up plans after rounds.

Required Texas NP/PA licensure, APRN licensure, and appropriate board certification. The position includes weekday hours with potential extended acute care shifts and EHR proficiency essential for charting and test follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Master's or higher and licensed as a Physician Assistant in Texas or licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
• Current NP certification in specialty area.
• Current provider care in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facility.
• Computer skills for EHR.
• Eligible for hospital privileges.

Responsibilities

• Clinical management is conducted in collaboration with the supervising physician and health care team members.
• Will work at Primary Care in addition to possible extended hours acute care.
• Charting, coordinating care of patient, and following up with test results
• NP/PA will be responsible for writing follow-up progress notes with updated plans and recommendations discussed on rounds.
• NP/PA will coordinate the care and communication to referring services with follow-up on test results throughout day as needed.
