Job summary

Vera Whole Health in San Diego, CA seeks a Nurse Practitioner, General / Primary Care to deliver comprehensive primary care across the lifespan in ambulatory and community settings. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions with an emphasis on preventive care and patient education.

The role requires collaboration with physicians and care teams, autonomous within APP scope, and ongoing professional development to support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited NP program.
• Current, unrestricted NP license in the applicable state.
• National board certification (FNP/AGPCNP/AGACNP or equivalent).
• DEA registration and BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Two+ years of advanced practice clinical experience in primary care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and chronic diseases using evidence-based care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including medications, preventive services, and education.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostics to guide care.
• Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice as approved.
• Conduct wellness visits, preventive screenings, and chronic care management.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals.
