Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. in Danvers, MA, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our practice onsite.

You will work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday and be paired 1:1 with a provider to ensure seamless patient care. The role focuses on clinical and non-clinical patient services, including taking vital signs, documenting information, scheduling, and managing patient flow, while collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to deliver

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Cannot substitute experience for degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants and onboard learning.
• Show patients to exam rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record in the medical record.
• Explain procedures, medications, diets and physician instructions; provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison with other departments, assisting with insurance forms.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens; log and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunizations inventory and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as applicable with certification or experience.
• Support quality initiatives such as two patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
