Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking Medical Assistants to join Primary Care/Family Medicine teams across Western Massachusetts. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure smooth patient transitions, accurate medical records, and support providers during examinations, testing and procedures.

Responsibilities include patient intake, rooming, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations, and coordination of discharge instructions. Competitive benefits and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS from American Heart Association required.
• Career ladder with MA levels determined by the organization.
• MAI/MAII/MAIII/MAIV credentials or demonstrated competencies per hiring manager.
• Credentialing through ARMA/AMT/CCMA or other recognized bodies.

Responsibilities

• Patient intake and history; room patients, record vitals, review histories, and document medications.
• Clinical support; prepare treatment rooms, chaperone, assist during examinations and procedures.
• Process orders, refills, prior authorizations and document data in the EHR.
• Perform procedures such as phlebotomy and immunizations per policy.
• Discharge coordination; review instructions, provide education, schedule follow-ups.
