Job summary

Baystate Health in Westfield, MA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Convenient Care team. You will take vital signs, handle patient intake and history, process clinical orders, assist during procedures, and support patient discharge in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CPR/BLS, and graduation from an accredited MA program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association.
• MAI - graduate of accredited MA program or demonstrated MA I with 1 year in a medical office.
• MAII - MA program or demonstrated MA II with 3 years in a medical practice.
• MAIII - MA program with 5 years in a medical practice or MA II at Baystate Health with MA III.
• MAIV - two years as MA III at Baystate Health with promotion to MA IV.
• Credentialing must be awarded by a third-party credentialing body (ARMA/AMT/CCMA/AAMA/NCMA/NCCT).

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge.
• Supportive work environment to provide optimal patient care.
• Assist in visits and procedures for specific services as needed (e.g., reproductive health procedures).
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
