Job summary

Saint Mary's Health Network is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians in urgent and primary care settings. You will assist with patient care, manage appointments and charts, and provide information to patients on clinic services.

Qualifications include a minimum six months in urgent or primary care, a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or EMT license), fluency in English, and BLS within 30 days of hire; Nevada licensure

Qualifications

A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or EMT license preferred.
Fluency in English.
Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.
Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
Conveys a positive image of organization.
