Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in urgent/primary care settings. You will handle patient care, clerical duties, and chart management while maintaining a welcoming front-desk presence.

Responsibilities include scheduling, patient education on clinic services, and portraying a professional image of the organization. A Nevada license/path to licensure may be required for related duties.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in Urgent Care or Primary Care or direct patient care preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from Nevada required within 90 days.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.
