Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team at SouthPark 8. The role covers hands-on patient care and essential clerical duties within a fast-paced clinical setting.

The successful candidate will perform vital signs, injections, specimen collection, and assist physicians, while coordinating appointments and maintaining accurate EHR entries. Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm; full-time position in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs.
• Assist physicians and physician assistants in exams.
• Administer injections and minor procedures under supervision.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals.
• Prepare and process lab tests per OSHA/CLIA guidelines.
• Maintain infection control and instrument sterilization.
