Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners in Pineville, NC, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support our Primary Care team from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The role blends clinical and administrative duties to assist physicians and ensure smooth patient care.

Responsibilities include patient escort, examinations, nursing procedures, injections, lab work, specimen handling, EHR documentation, and referrals coordination in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Completion of Hepatitis B vaccination Form is required (may decline).
• TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam/procedure rooms and document vitals and history.
• Assist with exams and nursing procedures under physician supervision.
• Administer injections and collect specimens.
• Provide patient/family instructions as directed by physician/PA.
• Handle calls and messages and coordinate referrals and lab orders.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing and basic lab tasks as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage EHR documentation.
