Job summary

Premier Health Primary Care Xenia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. You will see upwards of 30 patients per day, room patients, take vitals, perform injections, EKGs, and assist physicians and providers to deliver excellent patient experience.

Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program or CMA certification, CPR within 3 months, knowledge of ICD-10/CPT codes, EPIC EMR familiarity, HIPAA knowledge, and strong documentation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Graduate from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or CMA.
• Prior ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management/physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and service standards.
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• See upwards of 30 patients per day and assist in clinical procedures.
• Room patients and collect vitals; administer injections and EKGs.
• Perform pulmonary function tests, breathing treatments, and lab tests.
• Dressing changes, wound care, hearing/vision tests as assigned.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient experience.
