Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support providers in outpatient clinics. You will collect patient information, take vitals, perform medication reconciliation, and assist with in-office testing, vaccines, and care coordination.

The role requires strong patient-centered care, a high school diploma (GED) or higher, and BLS within 90 days. Prior primary care experience and MA certification are preferred; LPN licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) preferred.
• Active LPN licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter chief complaint and record patient information in the EHR.
• Take patient vital signs and review history and allergies.
• Perform medication reconciliation and document in Epic.
• Assist with in-office testing (blood draws, EKGs, oxygen studies).
• Administer vaccines within scope of practice.
• Schedule follow-up visits per policy.
• Collaborate with care team to coordinate the care plan.
