Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision of a physician and nurse staff. Responsibilities include front office and back office functions, with emphasis on guideline-driven patient care activities.

Ideal candidates will have an MA or NA program graduate, or two years of related clinical experience. CMA-AAMA and BCLS certifications are required on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a MA/NA program required, or two years of related clinical experience in lieu.
• CMA-AAMA certification upon hire required.
• BCLS certification upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or RN in accordance with guidelines.
• Perform front office and back office duties as assigned.
