Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support clinical and clerical duties in a busy practice setting. The role involves carrying out patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse, and performing front and back office tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of relevant experience, plus CMA-AAMA and BCLS certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
• In lieu of degree/certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with guidelines and standards.
• Duty assignments vary and include front office and back office functions.
