Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under supervision of a physician or nurse, performing both front and back office tasks in a busy clinical setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and MA/Nursing Assistant training or equivalent experience, with CMA or BLS credentials. This role requires 1 year of medical office experience or 2 years in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Duty assignments vary and include front office and back office functions.

Education
