Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team in Rockford, IL. The role combines medical support with front-desk responsibilities to deliver excellent patient care and guest experience.

As part of a patient-centered model, you will take vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications, and coordinate with providers to plan care while maintaining accurate records and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escorts patients to rooms and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and work with contracted labs for tests.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations per Provider orders.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out, and communications.
• Records data in medical records and communicates test results timely to patients.
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement.
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
