Southwest Care Center is seeking a full-time Primary Care Medical Assistant to join the Jefferson Clinic in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves screening patients, charting, assisting clinicians, and maintaining clean exam rooms while following infection-control protocols.

Qualified candidates have 1+ year patient care experience, completed medical assisting training, and BLS certification; Athena EMR experience is preferred, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and full benefits.

Competenze

• One year or more of direct patient care in a family medical practice preferred.
• Completion of a medical assisting program or certification highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Mansioni

• Screen patients, obtain vitals, and perform basic testing per protocols.
• Chart patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Assist nurses and providers and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Perform phlebotomy/fingerstick and administer injections as trained.
• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments; follow up for no-shows.
• Maintain infection control standards and respond to emergencies.
• Support vaccine programs and referrals to external services as needed.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and patient counseling.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care for patients served.
