Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support a primary care physician, delivering high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience throughout the patient journey.

The Medical Assistant will perform both medical reception duties and clinical tasks, ensuring efficient room turnover, accurate documentation, and coordination with the care team to address patient needs. This role emphasizes patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year MA experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred/required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist with procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Develop patient plans of care with the care team to address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate outcomes to patients.
• Outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
