Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant for Primary Care at 1 Hampton Road, Exeter NH. This day shift role supports the practice in clerical, clinical and business tasks under the supervision of a Nurse, NP, PA, or physician.

Major responsibilities include pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, assisting the provider, instrument prep, patient check-in/out, and coordinating calls and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or enrollment in a qualifying training program within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit work and obtaining vital signs.
• Medication reconciliation and assisting provider during examinations.
• Prepare exam rooms and instruments for sterilization.
• Answer patient calls and portal messages the same day.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in/out, and chart organization.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (or in training within 6 months)
