Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing is required.
• Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Minimum one year of RN clinical experience or completion of the Kaiser Permanente Georgia Nurse Residency program.
• Preferred: three years of RN experience and a Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess patient health status, determine nursing diagnosis, establish goals, and develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
• Completes POE and addresses care gaps during patient encounters.
• Documents patient data, actions, interventions, and responses to treatment.
• Assists with procedures and monitors patient response during and after procedures.
• Leads nursing response to medical emergencies when indicated.
• Monitors InBasket messages and triages to physicians or other team members as needed.
• Initiates and monitors IV therapy and administration of medications as prescribed.
• Provides health education and counseling to patients and families.
