Job summary

Excelsior Wellness in Spokane is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our primary care team. The selected candidate will collect vitals, perform point-of-care tests, and assist with procedures, while thriving in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

You should have a high school diploma (college healthcare education preferred), active CMA licensure or ability to obtain it, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college education in healthcare preferred.
• Active licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant in WA or ability to obtain licensure by hire date.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting; Lifespan experience preferred.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, team-based setting and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and interviews to determine history and purpose of visits.
• Takes vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.).
• Documents data on designated forms and electronic records.
• Rooms patients for visits or procedures and ensures rooms are ready.
