Job summary

Ridgecrest Regional Hospital in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care clinic. Under supervision of the Clinic Manager and Lead Resource Nurse, you will perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; CMA certification must be maintained.
• BLS certification required upon hire or within two months of hire.
• Experience as a CMA healthcare professional preferred; English proficiency required.
• Knowledge of office organization and basic clerical skills.
• Experience with computers, computer systems, and Windows software.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist providers during clinical procedures and patient visits.
• Support efficient patient flow throughout clinic visits and encounters.
• Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, and process referrals.
• Manage patient communications and prior authorizations.
• Collaborate with clinic staff, RRH departments, external facilities, and volunteers.
• Support a team-based outpatient clinic serving diverse patients with barriers to access.
