Job summary

Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in rural California. This hands-on, patient-facing role focuses on rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations to ensure smooth, compassionate care.

Candidates with CMA preferred; CMA certified within 12 months; EMT/CNA or clinical experience valued. Training provided to growth in healthcare, with opportunities to build continuity with patients and the care

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA, healthcare or patient care experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a clinical environment.
• Excellent reliability, professionalism and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, and assist providers.
• Work with your assigned provider to keep the day running smoothly.
• Maintain efficient clinic flow and ensure patients feel seen and supported.
• Serve as a reassuring presence for patients during visits.
• Assist with clinical and administrative tasks as needed.
• Step in where needed to ensure great patient care.
